Waltloo is situated roughly 56.4km from the OR Tambo International Airport and its believed to take roughly 38 minutes travel time depending. From the central business district of Johannesburg, it's said to take roughly just over an hour and is around 80km away. Waltloo is conveniently situated if one wants to reach the central business district of Pretoria and its said to be roughly 12.6km away.

Some of the more prominent shopping facilities in the area include the Waltloo Shopping Centre, Denlyn Shopping Mamelodi Centre, Flexible Packaging Convertors CC, Menlyn Park Shopping Centre, Brooklyn Mall and Denneboom Centre. 

Transport

Waltloo is well situated and is located within close proximity to key transport links around the greater Pretoria area. The MetroRail service has various train stations around the perimeters of this area making it viable for employees to travel to work easily. The area is also serviced by the various bus services around Pretoria as well as the minivan taxi service which connects various suburban and rural areas around South Africa. There is no Gautrain station however if one was traveling from Johannesburg an option would be to take a Gautrain to the CBD of Pretoria and commute from there via various modes of transport.
