TSWANE AUTOMITIVE CITY (TAC)

The Tshwane Automotive City (TAC) is a joint initiative by the City of Tshwane and the Gauteng Provincial Government to build Africa's first multi-OEM Auto City.

Rosslyn Hub is the catalytic project for the Tshwane Automotive City as it is a R 5.5 billion mixed use development that will integrate residential, educational and retail elements with Logistics and Commercial uses, all within a pedestrian friendly environment at the Centre of Tshwane Auto City.

CATCHMENT AREA

Rosslyn Hub is located directly alongside Soshanguve, one of the fastest growing townships in SA and home to more than 800 000 people. The proposed site is centrally located relative to these large scale residential developments in the west of Rosslyn. Being located on the corner of the new K217 link road & the R566 (K8), the site is ideally located at the Centre of Rosslyn Gardens, Nkwe Estate & Orchards and close to Rama City. In addition, a further 60 000 people commute into Rosslyn on a daily basis and there is no convenience Centre that adequately caters for their needs.

ABOUT THE DEVELOPMENT

The first retail development phase in Rosslyn Hub, will consist of a 9 500 m2 Convenience Centre, linked to a Value Centre with a GLA of 5 500 m2. The proposed Centre will be anchored by Shoprite and has already secured a large % of national tenants, including: Medicare, PEP, Ackermans, ABSA, Old Mutual, MTN, Postnet, Wimpy and KFC. 

The Centre's developer will facilitate the construction of phase 1 of the K217, linking Rosslyn to Orchards, to be completed by Centre opening. The Centre is ideally located on the corner of the K217 and K8, with multiple access points from both Tungsten Road and Dallas Grass Road.

The Centre is adjacent to the Spark Primary School, opened in January 2019.
