The first new highway in Gauteng in 40 years is scheduled to be built by the Gauteng Roads and Transport Department this is according to a prominent community newspaper in the area, The Kempton Express.
The article stated that the 35km stretch of newly developed tarmac will also be a part of a bigger project to help in the sustenance of what is being named “Areotropolis” at Africa’s largest airport the OR Tambo International Airport which is also a part of the Tambo-Springs Freight and Logistics Hub. The newly developed highway will be named the PWV15.
