The Ekurhuleni area, also known as Kempton Park and the location where prominent, industrial area Spartan is situated is set for a major overhaul. In an article published on kemptonexpress.co.za, it states that R35-billion will be spent on the project which is being called John Dube City.
Named after John Langalibalele Dube who was born on the 11th of February 1871 in Inanda, just outside of Durban in KwaZulu-Natal.
